Christine Parthemore Weber works on international security policy issues at the Council on Strategic Risks, a nonprofit think tank, where she previously served as CEO for six years and was a founding Board Member.
She also serves on the Board of the nonprofit SecureBio, and as a consultant to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Christine was a part-time adjunct professor in the Global Security Studies Program at Johns Hopkins University from 2010 to 2020.
In 2016, she was a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow in Tokyo, where she researched Japan’s approach to international civil nuclear cooperation.
Prior to that, she served as the Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Defense Programs in the U.S. Department of Defense. For her efforts, the Office of the Secretary of Defense awarded her a Medal for Exceptional Public Service, as well as an Award for Correspondence Excellence for supporting decision-making by the Deputy Secretary of Defense. Christine was also twice awarded the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Award for Excellence.
Christine has also worked with various nonprofits, international organizations, and companies, testified before Congress, and spoken at the United Nations.
She holds degrees from The Ohio State University and Georgetown.
