but together we can change that.”


My name is Taylor Sappington.
I want to be the next State Auditor of Ohio.

I have never been one to back down from a fight for what is right. Growing up in a trailer in Southeast Ohio, I watched my single mom – and families all around us – struggle to survive. I watched as generations of hard work reaped little reward. But this struggle taught me strength. Our community, tucked in the hills of Appalachia, never gave up. Today, I’m inspired to always give back.

I know a thing or two about holding corrupt politicians accountable.

As Auditor of Nelsonville, I balanced the books, caught the crooks, and modernized our record-keeping procedures to ensure we no longer paid the price for the corruption that had come before us.

Politicians at the top have long forgotten their role is to serve the public, not their own self interests. All the while, Ohio taxpayers are paying the price for their deception. Enough is enough.

Fighting alone, we can often feel as though the whole world is against us. I’m running for Ohio Auditor to restore and revive the sense of community I learned in my youth. I’m running with the spirit that we can face any challenge and overcome any obstacle, when we work together.

Dark forces across the state will do everything they can to stop us from succeeding. It is going to take hard work, dedication, and a fighting spirit to gather the resources, knock on the doors, and turn out the voters needed to hold our elected officials accountable.
