Alexis was born and raised in Sandusky with her sister Allyson by their parents Jim and Martha Miller. She is a graduate of Perkins High School and two-time Ohio State Buckeye, with a bachelor’s degree in political science and Master’s degree in Public Administration.

Jim and Martha impressed upon both of their daughters the values of hard work, education, and publicAMiller - Rob-Dogs-Alexisservice. Alexis got her first job when she was fourteen, and has been working ever since, including summers bussing tables at the Lunchbox and fueling boats at Battery Park.

Alexis is not one to just talk about the things she cares about – she walks the walk. For nearly a decade, Alexis has been committed to public service and helping people access their government. She has years of experience in state government and nonprofits, and now experience as a small business owner.

For so many families, paychecks aren’t stretching the way they used to. People are working more but finding it harder to make ends meet. Laws made in Columbus by wealthy special interests and the well-connected are leaving regular, working people behind. It isn’t fair and it hurts working families.

With her husband Rob, Alexis chose to move home to Sandusky where they live with their two rescue dogs, Buddy and Sadie. She is committed to investing in Erie and Ottawa Counties and serving the people of Ohio.
